Virtual Reality
Take Virtual Tours experience to the next level with Virtual Reality: compatible devices, necessary requirements, and how to set up.
How to view in VR
For a Virtual Tour to be viewed in Virtual Reality, three elements are necessary:
1. Immersive content, which in the case of MeuPasseioVirtual are Virtual Tours created from 360 images.
2. A Virtual Reality-compatible browser or app, responsible for displaying the Tour on the headset.
3. Virtual Reality headset, which provides the sensation of being inside the environment.
These three elements work together to create the immersion experience.
You can view a Tour on your computer or phone without using headset, but this navigation does not provide the sense of presence offered by Virtual Reality.
On MeuPasseioVirtual, there are two ways to view a Tour in VR:
- Using the compatible browser of the Virtual Reality device.
- Using a compatible smartphone inserted into a Cardboard-style headset.
Cardboard
Cardboard style headsets are compatible with MeuPasseioVirtual.
This category includes several models available on the market, for both Android phones and iPhones.
To use them:
1. Open the Virtual Tour in your phone's browser.
2. Activate Virtual Reality viewing mode.
3. Place the phone in the Cardboard headset.
4. Enjoy the immersive experience.
If you're looking for a model, the Xiaomi VR Play 2 is one of the options that offers good quality and comfort.
Meta Quest
Devices in the Meta Quest line can also be used to view Virtual Tours.
Simply open the Virtual Tour using the device's own browser.
MeuPasseioVirtual is compatible with VR browsers, allowing normal navigation within the virtual environment.
Samsung Gear VR
The Samsung Gear VR is fully compatible with MeuPasseioVirtual.
To use it:
1. Open the Oculus Browser on Gear VR.
2. Access the Virtual Tour link.
3. Start navigating normally.
This model offers an excellent immersion experience and was one of the main platforms used during the development of MeuPasseioVirtual.
Phone Requirements
If you use headsets that depend on a smartphone, such as Cardboard-style models, your device must have a gyroscope.
The gyroscope is the sensor responsible for detecting head movements during Virtual Reality navigation.
Without this sensor, you won't be able to use VR mode correctly.
If you have any doubts, consult your phone manufacturer's technical specifications to check if your device has a gyroscope.
